What's New in Tab Space
Release candidates and published releases of Tab Space for Mac, iPhone, and iPad. Safari remains built in; Chrome, Edge, and Firefox use the companion extensions introduced in 4.0.
Version 4.0 for Mac — Upcoming
- Tab Space for Mac becomes a free download with all core features and up to five saved sessions.
- Add permanent Plus as a one-time purchase for unlimited sessions and all core features.
- People who bought the Mac app before 4.0 automatically receive permanent Plus at no charge.
- Free and Plus include five AI requests per week; Pro provides unlimited AI organizing, multi-browser support, and future Pro features, with a seven-day annual trial.
- Existing sessions are never deleted or hidden when the Free limit is reached.
Version 1.0 for iPhone & iPad
- Tab Space is now available on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, requiring iOS or iPadOS 16 or later.
- Save and reopen your named sessions on the go, with tags and search on every device.
- Sessions sync across your Macs, iPhones, and iPads through your own iCloud — no account, no ads, no data collection.
Version 4.0 RC
- Add companion extensions for Chrome, Microsoft Edge, and Firefox 121 or later.
- Save selected tabs, the current tab, or all windows while honoring pinned-tab and duplicate preferences.
- Restore a session in the browser where the dashboard is open.
- Add an authenticated, loopback-only bridge with one-time pairing codes and Keychain-backed credentials.
- Add a background Login Item helper that keeps the browser bridge and iCloud change listener active after the main app closes.
- Move browser pairing into the main app window and show pairing before the extension exposes tab-saving controls.
- Keep tab closing separate from saving so tabs are never closed before the Mac app confirms persistence.
